Pfizer and Wyeth patient assistance update
Wyeth is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Pfizer. In light of this change, many Wyeth medicines are now available for free or
at a savings to eligible patients through Pfizer Helpful Answers and industry-sponsored programs.

If patients qualify for assistance, these programs can provide the following benefits:
- Reimbursement support services for Wyeth medicines for insured patients through RSVP and First Resource
- Availability of free Wyeth anti-infective, hemophilia, and transplant medicines for eligible uninsured and underinsured patients through RSVP
- Availability of free Wyeth oncology medicines for eligible
uninsured and underinsured patients through First Resource
- Savings on Wyeth medicines at more than 95% of U.S. pharmacies through the Pfizer Pfriends savings program
- Availability of Wyeth medicines through Together Rx Access, a program sponsored by many of America’s pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, providing savings on more than 300 brand-name prescription products. Savings are also available on generics
Later this year, Pfizer will integrate Wyeth primary care medicines into Pfizer Helpful Answers free medicine programs
With the completion of this integration, Pfizer Helpful Answers will provide assistance with more medicines in more therapeutic areas than ever before. The benefits of integrating Wyeth primary care medicines into Pfizer Helpful Answers include:
- Availability of Wyeth primary care medicines through the Pfizer Connection to Care® program, which provides medicines for free to eligible patients through their doctor’s office
- Availability of Wyeth primary care medicines through participating community health centers and hospitals that are part of Pfizer’s institutional patient assistance programs
- One-stop shop for all program information and applications
Unemployed patients in need of Wyeth medicines may be eligible for assistance
Pfizer continues to extend the benefits of MAINTAIN through December 31, 2010, to eligible patients who are unemployed and uninsured and need help staying on their Wyeth medicines. For more information, please call 1-800-568-9938.
